See What’s Brewing In Atlanta with Atlanta Brews Cruise!

February 26, 2013

Move over Colorado Rockies–there might just be a new beer capital right here in Atlanta!  Well, not yet.  But according to the folks at Atlanta Brews Cruise, Atlanta definitely has a lot to offer beer connoisseurs.   With 13 craft breweries in and around town, you can go cruisin’ for a brewsin right here in Atlanta with their unique interactive tour.

Although new to the Atlanta market, Brews Cruises have been around for a while.  In May 2006, founders Mark and Trish Lyons inaugurated Brews Cruise with mobile tours of Asheville, North Carolina’s fine craft breweries to help them “share their enthusiasm for exceptional breweries and leave cruisers with a better understanding of the creative process behind beer making.”  Other cities soon followed, including Denver and Charleston.  Having experienced the Brews Cruise first hand in Asheville, Sandy (an Atlanta resident) decided to bring the franchise to our area.  And so, another unique Atlanta tour was born.

So where does the beer tour stop?  You’ll get to visit –and sample– some of Atlanta’s finest craft breweries, including:

  • SweetWater Brewery
  • Red Brick Brewing Company
  • Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery
  • Ale Yeah!
  • 5 Seasons Brewing

The next time you’re in Atlanta and looking for something different to add to your “Things To Do In Atlanta” list, try a Brews Cruise.  You can even make it an interactive Georgia gift for the Southern gentleman on your list.  Having visited the Coors Brewery in Colorado, I have to add that beer tours are fun, educational and interesting even for those who don’t drink beer, like myself.  The brewing process can be quite fascinating!

So, I invite you to to “hop” on board the Atlanta Brews Cruise to create lasting brewery tour memories.  Go Cruisin’ for a Brewsin’…”sweet and southern” style!
